LET MY PEOPLE GO and some other random stories and thoughts
The other day Jacob was standing in the living room reading his books out loud and started yelling with much passion, "Let my people go"! It was really cute and he's done it a few times since then.
Last week I was burping Johnny and he spit up. Jacob was standing behind me when this happened and got soaked. I think it freaked him out.
Jacob observes the spitting up quite often. The other day he wanted to "hold you", so I picked him up and Jacob proceeded to spit on my shirt like he was being burped. Not cool.
Have I mentioned that about two weeks after Johnny was born, Jacob decided he wanted to potty train? I'm still not ready to do this. But he's going to do it anyway. He pees just fine, but the poo poo has only been an after thought on his part. He's certainly ready, but I'm not pushing it too much. Besides, I am feeding a baby all the time. It's kind of hard getting a toddler on the toilet when a baby is attached to you.
I finally watched our Net Flix movie that has been sitting there for months. 3:10 to Yuma is awesome! If you like westerns and don't mind an R rating (due to violence) then you will love this movie.
I loved the Olympics and am sad they are over. It was great to record them and then watch them at 3AM.
Johnny has doubled his weight. He was 10lbs 7oz at his 2 month appointment. I'm very proud.
Johnny does not sleep through the night yet. Jacob was sleeping 8 hours at 7 weeks. I'm ready for more sleep.
Jacob's favorite song right now is Adelweis (from The Sound of Music). This was his lullaby and ever since we had the baby he wants us to sing it to him at nap time and bed time. It's very precious the way he holds my hair and sings it in my ear with me.
Johnny has a reflux issue and has started taking a medication to help him out. It's working. Kind of.
Weight comes off slower after the 2nd child. Bummer.
I went to the American Idol concert on Monday. David Cook was awesome! He sang the Foo Fighters song Hero and it was AMAZING! I'm so glad he won.
Well, I'm up way to late. It's time to go get my pj's on a go to bed.
Blessings.
Little Butterball or Mr. Clean. He just need some hoop earrings!
Enjoying some Mozart after bath time on the Nano! Notice how Jason attached it inside the diaper clasp.
Jason begged me to swaddle him the other night. Strange, I know.
Reading material is key while potty training!
I kept missing his smile when I would take a picture. I need a better camera. Grrr.
