Memorial Weekend Pictures

Hey Friends,
It's been so long since I've taken the time to put anything out here. Thankfully Jason has been keeping you all updated with pictures and some brief news on Jacob. I've been slowly writing on some of my experiences, but I really haven't made it much of a priority. Sorry. It's just that I love taking care of our little man. Sometimes I just sit and stare at him, amazed how much my life has changed with this little blessing.

There was no resume, no interview, no experience required, and still I have the privilege to carry the title of mother. What an honor it is to have this little life dependent on me. Am I tired? Yes. Am I challenged? Yes. Do I find it hard to understand what he needs? Absolutely! However, despite my humanness none of this seems too difficult for my heart. Like I mentioned in so many of my other posts, God was transforming me through nine months to give me the heart of a mother and now my heart is simply pouring over. I love my son more than I can even begin to know how to explain in the words I type, plus it has given me such an incredible perspective on the love of God. How is it that He can love Jacob more than I do? Isn't that an unreal feeling? It's an emotion and love I have never felt before and God's love is even bigger. It's quite humbling.

I hope to put more out here, and really give you a little more of an update on all of our experiences. Until then I will keep trying to put pictures out for your enjoyment.

Blessings.

Jason and I found this outfit at Christmas. It was expensive but I coudn't resist it when we had called him peanut for so long.

On our way to church this morning. We actually took a few pictures in this outfit but he's not looking very happy in them.

Jacob and his Aunt DeLana. I love his little expression in this picture!

Hanging out with Uncle Mark. Aunts and Uncles are so much fun!

Holly,
I have had some of the same thoughts many times. Motherhood has changed my perspective on the depth of God's love for me and how He must care for the "little" details in my life.

Jacob is getting so big and it's only been a week since I have seen him! What a cutie!

Love you!
